Guava
Thai: Farang

Guava

  Thai:

Farang

Guava from Thailand is apple sized, looks like a rough skinned green apple.

Eaten unripe sliced with a combination of salt, sugar and chillies as a snack. Can also be made into pickles, jams and jellies, has a high pectin content. Now sold in supermarkets cut into slices with a small packet of sugar/chillie for that extra bite.
